This website is managed by the Lumina Open University. Our goal is to make our services accessible to everyone while respecting individual choice. Non accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Images

• Not all images include text alternatives that convey the same meaning.
• Alt text is not always provided for images or graphics.
• Images are sometimes not ordered logically within the text, which may prevent screen readers from interpreting them correctly.
• For visual content, there may be insufficient contrast between the foreground and background, making it difficult for users with varying visual abilities to distinguish differences.
• Consistent use of standard text formatting for headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables is not always followed when text is added through a text editor.
• When text is copied and pasted without removing formatting from the original source, it can interfere with text-to-speech technology, adding unnecessary formatting.
• The proper sequencing of content using appropriate formatting is not always applied consistently.

Hyperlinks

• Some links may not be visually noticeable, and color should not be the sole method used to indicate links (e.g., links should be underlined).
• Not all hyperlinks provide descriptive text that clearly informs the user of the link's purpose or destination.

Documents

• Not all documents follow standard text formatting conventions for headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables. Some of our older PDF documents may not be fully tagged or structured to be accessible with a screen reader.

Video and audio

• Some of our older content lacks text alternatives, such as transcripts.
• Some videos are not available in different resolutions, limiting users to a single, lower resolution version.
• Most audio content does not include closed captions.
• The quality of some audio content could be improved.
• When content includes flashing images, there are no clear warnings displayed on screen before it begins.
